The window frame seal for vent windows in convertibles ensures an effective seal between the glass and the frame. Installation is carried out by precisely pressing the pane into the frame using the seal and special tools.
After insertion, excess material is cut off cleanly.
The seal is delivered as a continuous piece and can be cut to fit both windows.

This is the rubber seal between the window and the frame for early convertibles up to 07/64 (Ch no. 6502399).
On Split beetle convertibles, they are fitted in one piece and neatly folded around the corners of the frame; the frames are also neatly designed for this with the correct radius.
For 53–64 models, they are fitted mitred at the corners but not glued together as on later models.
Supplied in a 5-metre roll, sufficient for one car.
