This is the rubber seal between the window and the frame for early convertibles up to 07/64 (Ch no. 6502399). On Split beetle convertibles, they are fitted in one piece and neatly folded around the corners of the frame; the frames are also neatly designed for this with the correct radius. For 53–64 models, they are fitted mitred at the corners but not glued together as on later models. Supplied in a 5-metre roll, sufficient for one car.
