The most significant feature this oil cooler thermostat is the fail-safe construction. Inside the CNC-machined, black anodized aluminum housing is a thermal element which is secured against tilting and starts working when reaching 75° C (167° F). Four M18x1.5 ports are available at the thermostat body and can be equipped with M18x1.5 fittings, which are not included.
A single M10x1 port is closed-off with a stainless steel plug and can be used for an optional thermo switch.
Various stainless steel brackets come with the thermostat and allow mutiple fitting options. Thanks to the laser-engraved marking, connecting the hoses correctly is easy.
